Rev. Michelle Mathis developed a passion for working with people who use drugs, and this case study explores how she lives out that passion through her leadership of Olive Branch Ministry, a faith-based harm reduction non-profit in Hickory, NC. This case study highlights the potential of both harm reduction practices and partnerships between churches and non-profits, and it also tells the story of one mother who came to view harm reduction practices differently.
